Welcome to London Muslim Shopping Festival, we can’t wait to see you all at the show.

To help you prepare, please ensure you read all of the below information, and as always, if you have any questions, let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

Please read the below information and complete your health & safety and declaration form before 9th FEB 2024

EXHIBITOR MANUAL

This Exhibitor Manual provides a full breakdown to help you prepare for the show.

It also provides all of the rules and regulations, so please do read through all of the information and guidelines carefully.

Please note these guidelines MUST be adhered to.

Saturday 24th February: 10am - 6pm

Sunday 25th February 10am - 5pm

SET UP/BREAKDOWN

IMPORTANT:

Please note that open-toe shoes are not permitted during build-up/breakdown.

Under no circumstances are children under the age of 16 permitted in the hall during build/breakdown, and breakdown will not commence until all children have left the hall. This is a legal requirement and no exceptions will be made.

For all other rules, please ensure you have read the exhibitor manual

Friday 23rd February: Loading is between 14.00-18.30.

The venue will be closed for all exhibitors at 19.00.

Throughout the day on Friday 23rd February, there will be an internal London Muslim Shopping Festival inspection as you finish setting up. This is designed to assist you and to allow you time to rectify any issues before the health & safety inspection the following morning. Please take all comments and feedback constructively.

Saturday 24th February: Exhibitors will have access from 08.00. Please note your stand must be complete and ready for trading by 09.30.

Halls will remain open to exhibitors until 19:00 after the show closes.

***Please note that there will be an official health & safety inspection on Saturday 24th at 9.00. You must be present for this inspection.

Sunday 25th February: Exhibitors will have access from 08.00. Please note your stand must be complete and ready for trading by 09.30.

 

Breakdown Sunday 25th February: The event will close at 17:00 and security will begin clearance of all public BEFORE breakdown can commence. You are not permitted to begin the breakdown until the organisers have advised it is safe to proceed. This will be approximately 17.30.

The venue will be closed for all exhibitors at 20.00.

Friday 23th Feb - 14.00hrs - 18.30hrs

Sat 24th/Sun 25th - 08.00hrs - 09.30hrs ( you may need these for replenishment of goods)

You MUST book a loading slot for both Set up and Breakdown via VOYAGE CONTROL to access the loading bays at the above times ( all details of how to book with voyage control are within the exhibitors manual and you will be able to pre-book loading slots 21 days before the event date)

Sunday 25th Feb Sunday 25th Feb – Please note the venue has changed its process this year and a slot on voyage control must be booked for the breakdown process as well as the build-up. Excel advises to ensure your stand is broken down prior to bringing your vehicle to the loading bay as you will not be permitted to stay past your allocated time.

Please note:

It is advised that you bring your own trolleys as these will not be provided/available.

Exhibitors must also be wearing a high vis jacket.

CAR PARKING

Car Parking ExCeL London offers on-site paid car park for over 2,000 spaces directly beneath the venue. All onsite parking is pay and display. The ticket machines are located within the car parks and accept coins, notes, and credit cards. As ExCeL London is a green venue, all pay and display machines will be found on stand-by which will activate as soon as you insert your card or cash.

ACCOMMODATION

There are a variety of hotels and serviced apartments to suit every budget within close proximity of the venue. A full hotel listing and booking service for individual accommodation requirements is available via ExCeL website - www.excel.london/visitor/hotels

PRE-ORDER CATERING

You can preorder from the food vendors in the exhibition hall at 9am on each day to be able to go to the front of the queue when required. 

Alternatively catering can be ordered and delivered to your stand through Excel Hospitality. This can be ordered here: http://excellondonhospitality.exhibitorcatering.co.uk/

STAFF PASSES

You will be provided with x5 staff lanyards per stall to be used throughout the show (one pass for all days). These must be worn at all times to gain entry to the main hall.

On Friday 23rd February staff lanyards can be collected from the loading area inside the hall and near the contractor entrance 11 (located next to hall entrance N1).

Before the show opens on Saturday 24th February staff lanyards can be collected near the contractor entrance 11 only.

At all other times lanyards must be collected from the main ticket desk at the entrance to hall.

If you require additional staff passes this must be organised in advance through your main sales contact.

 


STAND DETAILS

SHELL SCHEME STANDS

Shell scheme stalls contain the following:

Nameboard

Please note that electrics, furniture and any further additions must be ordered and paid for separately - please ensure you fill out the forms with your requirements and email them back to the contractors. There is no guarantee that late bookings will be accommodated for.

Further information about your stall:

  • All stock not on display must be stored neatly.

  • Any pop-up banners must remain within the confines of your space, and not encroach on the walkways

  • All staff must remain within the confines of your space in order to keep the walkways clear for guests.

  • Staff are not permitted to walk around the venue handing out flyers/sweets or any information.

If you do not have Public Liability Insurance and wish to purchase a one-off PLI with the London Muslim Shopping Festival, please click below. You shall not receive a certificate but will be added to the events policy .

The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations requires co-operation and co-ordination with all parties whilst sharing a workplace. It is a condition of entry into the exhibition that EVERY exhibitor, contractor, sub contractor, supplier and their agents comply with the Health and Safety at Work act 1974 (HASAWA74) and all other legislation covering the venue. The Exhibitor accepts that it is their legal and moral responsibility to ensure that their own and others health and safety is not put at risk by their actions (or inactions) during London Muslim Shopping Festival 2024. Please complete this form affirming your commitment to co-operation and co-ordination with the Organisers and Venue.
